Free TV License for over 75s (TVL)

If you are aged over 75 you are entitled to a free television licence, even if you live with younger relatives or friends. People who are legally registered blind can get a 50% reduction.

There is also a £7.50 concessionary licence for people living in care homes and some sheltered housing schemes.

If you find it difficult to hear the caller on the end of the line, then it is possible to purchase an amplifier for your telephone. This service is provided for the hard of hearing or those who have speech difficulties. 

A text phone uses a screen and a keyboard to communicate with someone using a standard telephone.
